Scope

Platform9 stands as a testament to the evolving landscape of cloud services. With its unique offering of harnessing public cloud power on a customer's chosen infrastructure, bolstered by Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies, Platform9 has positioned itself as a leader in cloud-native transformations. My challenge was to reflect this pioneering approach in their website design, ensuring coherence with their existing design language while introducing fresh pages.

Process

To set the foundation right, I delved deep into the user persona. Platform9's audience primarily consisted of IT professionals, enterprise decision-makers, and tech-savvy innovators, all keen on maximizing cloud capabilities. While Platform9 already had a distinct design language, the goal was to ensure its seamless application across new pages, promoting consistency and familiarity. The starting point was to distill the essence of Platform9's existing designs: their color palette, typography, iconography, and layout patterns

Solution

Interactive elements were introduced to aid user engagement, and special attention was given to the organization of content. Sections detailing Platform9's Kubernetes advantage, its vast node influence, and its investor backing were woven in, allowing users a holistic understanding of the company's stature in the cloud domain. The Platform9 project reinforced a key design principle: evolving a digital space while maintaining its core identity is both a challenge and an art.
